As a company that is dedicated to encouraging people and pets to have adventures in nature and using natural ingredients in our products, we work hard every day to become more “Green.” We monitor our personal daily activities as well as our business practices always looking for alternatives that are better for our planet and it’s inhabitants.

Superior Labb not only works hard to make the best pet care products out there, but we are mindful of our impact on and responsibility to the environment.

It is our practice to use raw materials that are sourced in an environmentally and ethically responsible way.

• We don’t use palm oil in our products (read the article “Is Harvesting Palm Oil Destroying the Rainforests?”).
• We do not use ingredients like Rosewood, Sandalwood or Frankincense essential oils that come from endangered or threatened plants.

We also support sustainable agriculture by purchasing natural and organic ingredients.

Organic farming practices improve the quality of our environment by protecting the land and groundwater from contamination and by promoting the use of sustainable resources.

We purchase from and partner with companies that not only promote environmental stewardship and sustainability but also support fair trade. Fair Trade practices promote fair wages, decent working conditions, local sustainability and improved social standards.

Commitment to Biodegradable Ingredients

What Does Biodegradable Mean?

Biodegradable means something is capable of being broken down by the action of living things, like natural bacteria, into simple substances that are not harmful to the environment.

Superior Labb soaps are Biodegradable

All soaps, unfortunately even biodegradable ones, can contaminate fresh water sources.
Using a biodegradable soap doesn’t reduce its immediate environmental impact…..it just means that the soap will biodegrade in time.

The bacteria that break down soap are present mostly in soil. If you are out on an adventure, biodegradable soaps are preferred over other soaps but should still be used at least 200 feet from fresh water sources like lakes, rivers, and streams.

Commitment to Cruelty-Free

At Superior Labb we must obviously test our finished products on animals. Once our products are carefully formulated and developed according to our requirements and we have ensured quality production, we rely on our experts; our own pets, to help test our products.

But, what about the raw materials, the ingredients we use? We pledge to buy ingredients that are labeled cruelty-free by The Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics (CCIC).

Commitment to Non-GMO Ingredients

At Superior Labb we will not use ingredients that contain GMOs.

Although you do not eat products made by Superior Labb, we are concerned with the environmental impact of GMOs.

Research suggests that crops that are genetically engineered to be resistant to herbicides, such as soybeans, will result in heavier herbicide use, further polluting groundwater, lakes, and rivers.

As a nature-friendly company, Superior Labb is committed to:

• minimizing packaging materials
• purchasing from local suppliers whenever possible
• using materials that can be recycled or composted by our customers
• re-using or recycling production materials

Our company believes in minimal packaging.
